All dogs pictured below are available for adoption. They are all healthy and friendly and would be ideal for home situation. Please feel free to peruse through the photos below and possibly consider taking one of these wonderful dogs home. If you cannot adopt right now and would perhaps like to make a
donation towards the upkeep of any of these, or other shelter dogs, we would welcome any and all amounts.

- Violet -
Gorgeous Violet first came to the volunteers' attention after her spay, when she cleverly tried to use her paws to manipulate her way out of her recovery crate. Darn those lack of opposable thumbs! She's evidently a clever girl, and her enormous ears are always on the go as she considers her next move.
As with most hounds, Violet would prefer to live in a cat-free home, but she gets on well with other dogs and would enjoy a canine friend for company.

- Oliver -
The lovely Oliver has lived at the shelter from young puppyhood; he grew up almost feral and it was only after being brought into the house following veterinary treatment that he has begun to trust humans. Now, he sleeps on sofas and believes himself to be a little prince! He loves cuddles and affection and will happily snuggle on a lap. Oliver is well-socialised with dogs and cats and as he is only seven months old (March 2012), will settle easily into a knowledgeable family.
Oliver has an outward-turning foreleg which is the result of one bone prematurely ceasing to grow. Our local vet is attempting to fix this with a splint but his new home must be aware that further veterinary treatment may be required for this condition.

- Millie -
Pretty Millie is a small medium size and approx 2 years old. A very shy girl but very sweet and so deserves a home of her own.
She will need to go with another dog that is confident so that she can learn from them. She is looking for a quiet calm home where she can be allowed time to let her confidence grow.

- Tammy -
Tammy is a Female German Shepherd cross Collie. She is around 4 years old, very friendly and medium sized.

- Madie -
Maddie is a very pretty, friendly little girl who was brought to the shelter as a stray with her 3 pups after her pups started playing in the road....
A small girl, approx 14 kg and around 2/3 years old. She is friendly and sociable and confident. She is good with all dogs, cats, and children! Maddie is looking to start afresh, once her puppies have left, away from the streets, which is probably the only life she has ever known. A real poppet!

- Ruben -
Ruben is a male German Shepherd cross/mix. He is an extremely friendly lad about 18 months old (larger size). Please consider giving Ruben his forever home.

- Little Max -
Little Max is a male collie cross. He is a very friendly boy who is a little on the shy side. Max mixes well with other dogs, is about 18 months old and of a medium size.

- Chai -
Chai is a Male Collie Cross, about 3 years old; a lovely boy with a very friendly nature. He walks well on the lead and mixes nicely with other dogs, doesn’t appear to worry about cats.

- Eve -
Eve is a female crossbreed, a very sweet girl who is a little on the timid side. She is only about a year old, gets on well with other dogs and just craves affection!

- Francesca -
Francesca is a beautiful medium size girl, approx 1 year old. A really playful, funny and friendly girl once she gets over her initial shyness. She was chained to the gates at the shelter one night. Francesca loves to play with other dogs and is cat friendly if your cat likes to play!!! She will be initially shy in a new environment but it won’t take her long to settle in!
